WHAT IS INFRARED HEAT?
Infrared heat, also known as radiant heat, is a natural, safe energy that heats objects directly without having to heat the air in between. The infrared segment of the energy spectrum occurs just below or ˇ°infraˇ± to red light. This band of light is therefore not visible to human eyes but can be seen with special cameras. We can, however, feel this type of energy, which we perceive as a gentle heat. For example, infrared heaters are used by hospitals to warm premature infants.
